Timetable
Additional journeys are operating at peak times to alleviate overcrowding. These will be numbered 841X and will be operated by De-Luxe Coaches. These journeys will only be available to students of Stafford College.
Buses run Monday to Friday and will depart Uttoxeter Bus Station at 0730, Hixon at 0752 and Weston at 0758, returning from Stafford at 1700. These additional buses will operate direct between Uttoxeter and Hixon and between Weston and Stafford.
All D&G Bus tickets will be valid on service 841X, and return tickets purchased on service 841X can be used to return at any time on a D&G Bus journey.
We accept contactless payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay on all of our buses for transactions up to £45. Ask your driver for your ticket as usual then present your card or device to the card reader to pay.
Single tickets
Single Tickets - Potteries Area
Our adult single fare for most journeys wholly within the Potteries area is £2.20. Longer journeys, including those outside the Potteries area, usually cost more - for more information call us on 01782 332337 or ask your driver.
Young people aged 5 to 18 (inclusive) can get a reduced fare - prices start at £1.50. Remember to ask the driver for a 'young person' ticket to obtain the discount. Children aged under 5 are entitled to travel for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Single Tickets - Other Areas
Outside of the Potteries area single tickets are priced according to the distance that you travel. You can ask the driver, or if you want to know in advance call us on 01782 332337 (Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent) or 01270 252970 (Cheshire).
Return tickets
Network Return Tickets
These tickets are available to make a round trip to any point on our network (excluding Alton Towers) and can be bought on any bus. Tickets cost only £5.50 for an adult, £4.50 for a student (ID is required) or £3.50 for a young person.
Network Return tickets can also be used to make journeys on all services operated by Midland Classic and Select Bus Services, and on High Peak services operating within the Macclesfield area.
Potteries Return Tickets
These tickets are available to make a round trip between any two points in the Potteries area, and can be bought on any bus that operates in this area. Tickets cost only £4.50 for an adult, £4.00 for a student (ID is required) or £3.00 for a young person. The services and boundaries we issue and accept Potteries Return tickets on are as follows:

If you are travelling before 9.30am Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) wholly within the Potteries area, ask the driver for an Early Bird Return - this costs just £3.00 and the return journey can be made any time later in the day.
Crewe Return Tickets
These tickets are available to make a round trip between any two points in the Crewe, Nantwich and Sandbach area, and can be bought on any bus that operates in this area. Tickets cost only £4.00 for an adult, £3.50 for a student (ID is required) or £2.75 for a young person. The services and boundaries we issue and accept Crewe Return tickets on are as follows:

Group tickets
For only £8.00 a group of up to FIVE people can travel together on any D&G Bus service for a whole day - just buy the Group Day Rover ticket from the driver on your first trip.
Weekly tickets
Network Weekly Tickets
These tickets offer unlimited travel to any point on our network (excluding Alton Towers) and can be bought on any bus. Tickets cost only £16.00 for an adult or £14.00 for a student (ID is required) or a young person. Tickets are valid on the day of issue plus the following six days. Holders of Adult Network Weekly Tickets can have a young person accompany them for no additional charge (this offer is not valid for two young people travelling together).
Knutsford Return Tickets
Just £12.00 for an adult or £8.50 for a young person for unlimited travel on service 88 between Knutsford and Shaw Heath and on service 89 between Knutsford and Lilac Avenue. Tickets are valid on the day of issue plus the following six days. Holders of Adult Knutsford Weekly Tickets can have a young person accompany them for no additional charge (this offer is not valid for two young people travelling together).
Student fares
We offer student single fares to anyone who holds a valid student ID card (from any college or university) - this gives around 20% discount on the adult fares. Show your ID card to the driver and ask for a 'student single' when boarding the bus.
We also offer unlimited travel to students for 28 consecutive days for only £45.00 - this ticket can be purchased from drivers on all of our buses (it is not valid on service X41, service 32X to Alton Towers, and tickets cannot be purchased on service 15A).
Stoke Smart tickets
These tickets are available from the driver and allow unlimited travel on all operators' bus services* in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle Borough (except football services). Prices are as follows:
SMART Day - £5.90 adult / £4.40 child (under 16)
valid for travel until midnight on the day of issue
SMART Week - £21.00 adult / £15.75 child (under 16)
valid for travel on the day of issue plus the following six days

The Knot tickets
The Knot is a ticket valid for a day's travel wholly within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent* on buses operated by Arriva Midlands, Chaserider, D&G Bus, First Potteries, Midland Classic (including buses between Burton and Swadlincote), National Express West Midlands and Select Bus Services. Prices are as follows:

Keele Key tickets
Keele Key is an exclusive ticket for Keele University students and staff which allows travel on both D&G Bus and First Potteries services.
To purchase a ticket you must show a valid Keele Card to the driver - your Keele Card should also be shown each time you use the ticket. Prices are as follows:
Keele Key Day - £4.50
valid for travel until midnight on the day of issue
Keele Key Week - £17.00
valid for travel on the day of issue plus the following six days

The PeakPlus Xtra is our day ticket in conjunction with High Peak Buses and TM Travel, which is valid on all services operated by High Peak and TM Travel services within Derbyshire, D&G Bus service 16 to and from Hanley and throughout D&G Bus services 108 and 109. The Peak Plus Xtra zone includes travel with High Peak Buses to and from Macclesfield, Derby, Buxton and Matlock and with TM Travel to and from Sheffield. Prices are as follows:

Please note that due to high rates of fraudulent transactions taking place we are unable to accept contactless payments when purchasing a Get Me There ticket, but we still accept them for System One tickets.
TfGM Our Pass and WCTS cards are valid for free travel within the Greater Manchester area. WCTS cards are not valid before 9.30am Monday to Friday.

Concessionary travel for the elderly or disabled
We accept English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes for free travel on all of our bus services.
Please note that the rules on this scheme vary from area to area, and depend on where you board the bus (not where your pass is issued). The rules are set by local authorities - here is a brief guide:
Passengers boarding the bus in Cheshire East:
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Cheshire East Council are entitled to a 50% reduction on the adult single fare before 9.30am Monday to Friday. This fare can only be paid by cash.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Cheshire East Council are entitled to free travel between 11.00pm and midnight Monday to Friday.
• Visually impaired passengers with an ENCTS pass in a special orange wallet may travel for free at all times.
Passengers boarding the bus in Cheshire West and Chester:
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Visually impaired passengers with a specially issued ENCTS pass may travel for free at all times.
Passengers boarding the bus in Staffordshire (excluding Stoke-on-Trent):
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Passengers with a disabled ENCTS pass issued by Staffordshire County Council are entitled to free travel at all times.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Staffordshire County Council or Stoke-on-Trent City Council can pay a reduced fare before 9.30am Monday to Friday. This fare can only be paid by cash.
Passengers boarding the bus in Stoke-on-Trent:
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Staffordshire County Council or Stoke-on-Trent City Council can pay a reduced fare before 9.30am Monday to Friday. This fare can only be paid by cash.

Passengers boarding the bus in Greater Manchester:
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Transport for Greater Manchester are entitled to free travel between 11.00pm and midnight Monday to Friday.
• Holders of Greater Manchester Concession Plus passes may travel for free at all times.
